9-2017 and up

9-2017 "Cities of Serbia":

Set of three stamps, dated April 13, 2017, will show us three of it.
Capital of Serbia - Belgrade,
Capital of Serbian Autonomy of Vojvodina - Novi Sad,
Regional city of Nis.
I think, that this set are very good by design, where main element of city are shown in very clear way. (MA Boban Savic, academic painter)
Three stamps, each with under $ face value, will make one very nice item in any collection, as it is represented by few topic in Philately, as History, Architecture, and on FDC and CM even much better visible are fortress of this cities.

10-2017 "Belgrade Marathon":

Single stamp issued on April 21, 2017. Very low face value of 0.23 $, but also in no so very attractive design. On stamp we see runner, bridge of Belgrade, great church of S. Sava and Kalemegdan fortress.
Belgrade marathon is held for the last thirteen years, and known around world as one of "must be".

11-2017 "Flora":

What to say? Just one really GREAT issue by design! This time, artist (Miroslav Nikolic), made it PERFECT! Clearly visible element of any fruit shown (Pear, Plum, Apple, Walnut), than in very fine balanced colors, You will have feeling that it is almost natural! Sheet composition is as usually, 5 sets in sheet, with gutter on middle of sheet. Face value for set of four are affordable 2.00 $ per set, but in this sheet composition You will need little bit more than 12.00 $ per sheet. Date of issue are April 24, 2017, in full Spring time!
Highly recommended to any collectors of Fauna.

12-2017 "Serbian Literary Cooperative":

One stamp, issued April 28, 2017. celebrating 125 years of this Cooperative, with very nice design. As I'm printing plant technician by profession, I like this initials used on design. Really nice to see also information talking about this Cooperative, which was established in 1892 year.

13-2017 "EUROPA":

As usually, on beginning of May, every year, come to market EUROPA issues. This year, topic was CASTLES, and Serbia made choice of two. One come from city of Smederevo, and second come from Maglič. Even on FDC we have shown one from Monastery Resava. One really complete composition, to show us beauty of Serbia.
face value are little bit high, for two stamps You will need 1.80 $, and if You chose sheet of eight with gutter on middle, that will cost You more than 22.00 $, so, find best deal with Your stamp dealer, who can make (probably) some better deals than You have on web auctions or eBay.

2014 - last issues:

18-2014 "Architect - Rossica":

Issued on Nov. 27, 2014 in one very nice format (booklet), celebrating 150 year of Nikolay Krasnov, very important architect that was born in Moscow, and made some capital projects in Belgrade and Serbia, Montenegro.
Booklet have one m/s (2 large stamp in), and set of six stamps, showing us his capital project.
One nice design, with lot of information on it! Face value is not so low, as 314.00 Serbian dinar (3.20 US$) are "high" in Serbia, but for collectors of this topic, it is not big. I don't know quantity printed yet, but Serbia have very low quantity printed, and as many people collect "Rossica" topic - this will be item to keep!

19-2014 "Serbia-Korea":

Here we have "standard" m/s design when see all issues commemorating diplomatic ties Serbia have with other countries. Topical on it range from "Flag on Stamps" to "Icons", "Architecture" and few other. Date of issue is Dec. 3, 2014, with face value of 220.00 Serbian Dinar (2.24 US$) but hardly that someone will sell You by face value, as we know Serbia have very strict quantity printed.

20-2014 "Artist - Painting":

On the market on Dec. 9, 2014, showing us painter Ljubica Cuca Sokic (1914-2009), famous in art colony of Serbia, but also as education person.
Personally, I'm not happy to see this "simple" design, showing us portrait of same author and her work, but it is in "small" dimension for art to be shown!
Face value are really low, of 23.00 Serbian Dinar (0.23 US$), and I'm sure that this stamp will be available from any stamp dealer in Serbia.

2014 continuing...

Just few issues that come to my store right now:

14-2014 "Science":

This issue come of two stamp, face value is relatively low, 1.00 $ per set, because recent downing of local currency, but as we search web acution/s, it can reach even 2.00 euro per set of two, and sheet of 10 much-much more!

Stamp come out to market on Oct. 8, 2014. celebrating two Serbian scientist, one is Josif Pancic and second Petar Stevanovic. one is Florist and second Geologist. Printing quality really well done! Printing done by ZIN Company, one shifting from FORUM Company, and visible improvement in quality.

15-2014 "Christmas":

As usually, at this time of every year, Christmas stamp coming to the public. Oct. 17, 2014, with two stamp in set, again low face value of 1.00 $ per set, but again low quantity printed, which resulted in very high market prices that can reach more than 2.20 euro per set.
On stamp You have Fresque/Icons from Monastery Zhicha. Nice designed, and FDC just little bit improve overall feeling.

16-2014 "Liberation of Belgrade":

One very important event in Serbian, and not just Serbian, but Yugoslavia and Europe, Balkan and World , history! There was occupation in WWII, Germans, Italians, Hungarians, Bulgarians, Albanian, all coming to occupy Yugoslavia! Killing and destruction all around!
Happened that Belgrade (capital city of Yugoslavia, and today Serbia) was on the target from all sides! Last forces that bombed Belgrade come from very "friendly" countries in WWI, tragedy alone, but NATO didn't care at all!
To liberate Belgrade in WWII, Yugoslavian Army lost 2950 fighters, and Soviet Union lost 960, can You imagine which forces of killing was there?
Germans Army, that departed from Greece, lost some 17 000 soldiers, just in Battle of Belgrade, this facts show us how important this event is also today!
For this anniversary, small Serbia made one parade, inviting all leaders to come, but (probably of shame?) no one from "friendly" NATO countries arrived, just Russian President Putin made it to Belgrade!
Stamp come out to the market on Oct. 20, 2014, with one interesting format of two stamp in sheet, one (lower value) stamp show us bombed Belgrade in WWII, and second (highest value) is today's Belgrade, as modern, rebuilt open city! I was there before two year, and can just recommended it to the all readers: INCLUDE this city to Your traveling destination!
Again quantity are very low, which resulted that market price come around 4.50 euro per one, even that face value are also not small (2.30 $). I think, that this m/s will be hard to find!

Update from "Filatelisticki Glasnik, #9, Dec. 2014):

from editorial part (page 4), author made really great comment on this issue, which explain us some fact about, as design on this m/s because on m/s we see modern part of Belgrade (on right side of m/s) and ruins of Belgrade (on left side of m/s)!
Left side actually show us ruins of buildings in Belgrade, from WWII, but from 1941 (WWII - bombing of Yugoslavia), that mean, no connection between "Liberation of Belgrade" (by Red Army of Soviet Union 1944) - and most of problematic detail is that face value of 50.00 Serbian Dinar, didn't math any post tariff in or out from Serbia!

17-2014 "Children's Stamp - Fairy Tales":

I still didn't received FDC of this issue, but can ask Serbian Post: "What was need for this experiment"?
Not attractive issue at all, even that topic are attractive, many collectors will need it in collection, but there is plenty of better design option! Four stamp in set, in usual format of 8 stamp + gutter on middle, face value not so small, and market go wild - 3.62 euro per set, which is caused by low quantity printed and format composition. Just really addict collector will have it in collection under "Fauna" topic - probably!

3-2014 Postage Due:

Every year, there is Postage due obligated on all mail delivery in one week period. This one is under name "Children's Week", and have one nice motto:
"Every Children with happy face, one family keeps"!
(Serbian: "Svako dete srecnog lica, cuva jedna porodica")
Nice intention, nice education way, to remind us (parents) about our obligation we have!
Keep for single stamp, on market, 1.00 $, even that it is face value just 0.11 $.

12-2013 till end of year 2013

Finally, I have last shipment of FDC from Serbia 2013 year. Yes, too long and didn't have listed it here (end of 2013), it happen because Serbian Post again made some kind of "break" in producing and delivering FDC's from August till end of 2013. What happen? I really don't know, even my source in Belgrade didn't know what is really happening there, probably payment dispute to the printer, nothing strange if it is true.
As is - is, and here we go with:

12-2013 "Equestrian" Ljubicevo Games (Horses):

Given to the public on 30 Aug. 2013, set of 4 value, in sheet of 5 set and gutter between two stamp. Gutter on full sheet are different for each set, little bit difference of most till today made, where it was like complete picture.
Face value for full set is little bit over 1.00 US$! 1.04 $ actually, that is very affordable (if You will take account just face value) for "Sport", "Horses" topical collector, but - You must count that no dealer will sell it by face value, and yeah - postage cost will kill us!

13-2013 "Joy of Europe":

Issued on 2 Sep. 2013, set of 2 stamp. I still can not understand why they continue with this "topical", name "Joy of Europe", as we know, that it was very attractive festival in SFR of Yugoslavia time! Because all this "new independent countries" abandoned "motherland" of Yugoslavia, I really don't see reason to celebrate something that don't have any significance in today's "new world order". Yes, it is nice and good effort, but just at the time that our children have REALLY joy in own country!
Face value is little bit under 1.00 $ (0.80 US$) per set, and just "Bicycle" topical collectors will be happy to find it in collection. Nothing "great" to say about this issue!

14-2013 "Constitutional Court":

If not funny - it will be very sad! Which kind of celebration? 50 year of Constitutional Court?
What exactly if we know, that in Serbia, politician is changing constitution after every election (that happen frequently) and "constitution" start to be just like some kind of "shield" for every possible problems in Serbia!
This single stamp come to the public on 14 Oct. 2013, with "Coat of Arm", "Book of Constitution" and "Statue of Justice" on it!
Provocative in every aspect!
Face value for this single stamp is 0.26 US$, very available around!

15-2013 "Stamp Day":

Really nice design! You have here shown all that represent one post activity! From map (on FDC) to hand cancel, envelope, leaf, seal... Really good work of artist!
Come to public on 25 Oct. 2013, single, again low face value of 0.26 US$ per stamp! If You need something "good" in Your collection, obtain this single stamp together with FDC - and You can go to exhibition!

16-2013 Christmas":

To be fair? Nothing "special" with this time! If not good FDC design, it will go unnoticed!
Two stamp in set, face value of 0.80 US$, probably just for "Religion" on stamp collectors!
Out on the market on 28 Oct. 2013.

17-2013 "Njegos":

Fine, it is very important person for Serbs. He was great poet, prince-bishop, and ruler of Montenegro!
So, deserve to be on postage stamp, it is 200 years of his birth, and Serbian is searching for self-boost in national "feeling". What Montenegrin say? Hmmmmm, better ask them - there are very different opinion for and against this "ruler"! I personally can say, that he was great!
Single stamp there, little bit more than usually face value - 0.54 US$, design is much better on CM than on stamp alone!

18-2013 "Science and Education":

This set can be named just "Education", because showing us 4 stamp in set, all of Gymnasiums in Serbia (Prijepolje, Novi Pazar, Mitrovica, Pancevo), with tradition of more than 175 year. Nice for one small country, under Turkish rule, that keep own education and didn't give up for foreign ruler education!
Set of 4 stamp, all in same face value, together give little bit over $, 1.04 US$ per set. If You collect "Architecture" or "Building" topical - it is for You!
Come to the public on 20 Nov. 2013.

19-2013 "King Aleksander I Karadjordjevic":

If Njegos, than also King Aleksander - isn't?
yeah, it is 125 year of birth, and many nationalist will be happy to see it on cover, but, I'm afraid, that also many will be using heavy cancel for this in post offices! Seriously, it is not bad design, showing us portrait of King, and his coat of arms/seal.
good topical in any case! As King deserve, it is also face value bigger than "ordinary" single issue - this one come up with 0.59 US$ face value, but be prepared to pay little bit more!

20-2013 "Joint issue with Algeria - Carpets":

2 Dec. 2013, not bad, not bad at all! Nice design showing us Serbian and Algerian carpet, that as I know are very valued, not like Persian carpet - but very near of it! This m/s is showing us motifs on carpet of this two countries, tools for producing same - one small "museum" on postage stamp!
Recommended to have it - if not for something else, for history alone!
There it is two stamp in it, 1.09 US$ face value, not expensive, affordable and good design - You need more than that in Your collection?

21-2013 "Military Industry":

28 Nov. 2014, long tradition in Serbia, good quality production till today. Here we celebrate 160 years of "Zastava" factory, that produce very fine weapons for military, private, sport use. design is also not bad, showing us cannon, factory.
On FDC even technical drawing of "Kokina pus'ka"! Go and take it! Face value are standard of 22 dinar - 0.26 US$.

22-2013 "Stefan Nemanja - Icon":

If Njegos, if King, than we have also one Holy Stefan! 6 Dec. 2013, single stamp of face value 0.26 US$, fine tuned design that have significance - keep it in collection!

and in the end of year:

Postage due 3-2013:

As usually there is 10 dinar face value for each - mean 0.11 US$ per one, of this 4 last issued. For Serbian population it is not little - it is actually good money (if we see it in quantity printed).
here we have again one building of library, handball sport, Red Cross and family (this one with very nice slogan there - "Listen mam and dad - I want sister of brother"!

Serbia 2012 - continue:

12-2012 "European Nature Protection - Forest":

Issued on June 1, 2012, with set of 2 stamp. Face value for set is 68.00 Serbian Dinar - not big money in US$, but where is "game"? In stamp of 46.00 dinar - this one is printed in
quantity of just 25 000.
Someone will say - so what!? Nothing, I will answer - I will be glad to see who will have this set in postally used on/off cover!

What we have on stamp is Acer heldreichii and Arn. Var. pallasiana - Pinus nigra, two well protected tree in Serbia. On stamp, we can see drawings of tree and leaf, forest - probably good idea, but too small dimension of stamp for this topic. But, if we will ask for bigger stamp - it will be very non practical (something that Bosnian Post made recently, in "Snake" issue).

13-2012 "Olympic - London 2012:"

I really don't like it from beginning of introduction emblem to advertisement of same Olympic Games! It start with logo, that some of critics say it resemble to the word "ZION" instead of 2012, till artist expression of what need to be on the stamp shown.
What we see on stamp? Just Olympic torch and stadium on one stamp, and London famous building and stadium. I ask - and where is some other "Olympic" element like sport?
face value is also not so small for two stamp, it is around 1.40 US$ per set, because popularity of this topic, it will cost much more on market. Quantity printed are little bit more than normal (100 000 for both stamp), and no m/s come out. Like usually - it is sheet of 8 stamp and gutter on middle.

14-2012 "175 year of Cathedral":

Even that it is just single stamp, I can say that nice job made by artist!
Come out at July 13, 2012, single stamp of really low face value of some quarter of $, that will allow many collectors to have it in collection. Cheaply, nice, popular topic under "religion", low quantity printed (50 000), probably will be sold out very quickly! I don't know who is main dealer that purchase most of quantity directly from Serbian Post, but see: 50 000 x 0.25 = 12 500 US$ for  "all printed" - let's say that 25% Serbian "standing order" customer will have, and next 25% if will go to post branches for regular use - it is  around 6300 US$ that will some dealer/s invest - and start to manipulate market!
Any way, I like design on all three option (stamp, FDC and CM) and can just recommend to all - run and grab!

20-2010 Davis Cup Winner:

I was waiting for long time to receive this issue from Serbian post - Jugomarka, but in the end, it was impossible to have it directly from distributor. Explanation come that this stamp was sold-out at the day of issue. Here it come some very serious questions about issue alone:

Stamp, FDC - come out from print and are officially available on June 20th, 2010! Final match of Davis Cup was on June 19th, 2010 - can someone from reader explain me - how it was possible to prepare, print, distribute this stamp in so short period of few hours?

By education, I'm printing plant technician - for sure, I know how much time will take, to prepare all work for printing stamp like this. And I think that it is impossible for few hour to made.

Probably "third sense" was in action, and probably, Serbian Posta made all work done, even before final match was finished! They (officials in Serbian Post) take great risk to made all work done before they even know who will be winner?

So - I was in deep trouble like supplier of new issue for this country, but, to my luck, my client understand it well and even agree with option, that this issue can be very well classified like "speculative", because suddenly, someone purchased all quantity printed. By way - printer is ZIN printer - it is Printing Company for paper money production - it is really surprise, because official printer in 2010 was/is FORUM - what happened that Serbian Post made it in ZIN company, I really don't know!

Any way, because no stamp was available - I go to well know internet auction, eBay, and purchased it there from dealer in Serbia. here again come surprise - searching around, analyzing where seller reside, I discovered that all three offered samples, come from Krusevac town in central Serbia! What happened with Belgrade dealers?

In the end, I purchased one sample from each option, and when calculating all together (PayPal fees, Postage, Asked prices) - I come to balance sheet, that say:
m/s of 8 stamp + gutter have tag price of 44.00 e. Great - isn't? Pair set with gutter go to
5.50 e, single stamp for 2.50 e, and FDC have it at 8.00 e.

Serbian people know to say: "Ko voli - nek izvoli" ("Who like it - invited to take it" - in free translation).

Thursday, October 29, 2009

17-2009 - Train, 125 year of Train in Serbia:
Issued on Sept. 8, 2009 - set of 2 value, face value are 68 Serbian Dinar, that will be some near 1.10 US$, not so big investment for collectors that are specialized in this topic, but if they will wish to have an printing sheet of 10 - they will need to prepare some bonus to pay, because sheetlet are more attractive, and low quantity printed, that Serbia still practice. I think that this issue come with visible "coming down" in artist work effort. It have symptoms of "home work must be done" and compare it with "Orient Express" issue - it is really big difference. FDC have an map on it, that will show us train line from Belgrade to Nish (Nis) - and significance are great - because 125 year of train lane are lot of time and history - many european countries don't have this history of existence - and small Serbia have an train line!

18-2009 - Joy of Europe:
I really don't like it! Good name of issue, and intention also - but let see what is on stamp - it is one drawing of Danah KG, from Unated Arab Emirates. I was always thinking that "Joy of Europe" will serve first local childrens drawing, it in the end show that I'm not correct - what to do, human will learn all the way in life and die stupid - isn't?

I go further, and see that motif on the vignette is Bengkel KKK from Indonesia and also Young Artist Art Centre from Egypt! Oooooo - now it come some suspicion - are Serbian postal Authority handling some "good will" to other (Muslim populated) countries - or local children are less attractive, or perhaps didn't come with quality drawing that will give them place on this issue?

As is - is, one single stamp in issue, face value of 46 dinar, mean some 0.75-0.80 US$, expensive for un not attractive stamp - hope that Serbian Post will use it in regular post franking.

19-2009 - "Golden Pen":
Issued to celebrate 50th Anniversary of the International Exhibition "Golden Pen"! Sept. 21, 2009. And lot of "????????????" - what that mean for human population? I'm reading from FDC back side explanation: "...oldest exhibition of this kind in Europe...". See - I'm also very near of 50 - but I never hear about this exhibition and never know that it is very important for Serbia alone! Design? Not so "big deal" - except that if someone collect "mouse" on stamp, they will have one more in collection - face value also low - just 22.00 dinar - somewhere around 0.34 US$ - tell me who will order it?!
And in the end for this time:
Postage Due 4-2009:
it is two small stamp, for solidarity week, "Red Cross" - children, mother - and total 20.00 dinara face value. Like usually for this items - good intention, I will be glad to know if money collected really reach children in need! Hope that yes!
As today, Jan. 1, 2010,
Postage due 5-2009:

I received next three stamp for this postage sue, and two are self-adhesive stamp, with different face value, but same design like one perforated, and second is for "Beograd 1944-2009" Institute for Culture Monument - Belgrade.

Judaica issue from 2008 year:

In my previous pages - I mentioned this issue in "Postage Due 2008", (see page: Postage Due 2009, dated March 13, 2009), and made one "notice" after, when I received some information from my friend in Belgrade. Today, I come across one Auction House in Belgrade, and to my surprise, I see that I was little bit wrong, to classify this stamp in "personalized stamp"!!

But I was very wrong!
Here is description that I see on this Auction Web Page:

Description9.IX.2008. Jewish historical museum in Belgrade and Post of Serbia, have issued a INSTITUTIONAL POSTAL STAMP of 20 din, on which the MENORA is shown, a typical Jewish religious symbol - a seven armed candlestick, carved on roman bricks found at the archaeological site Celarevo. It was determined that a tribe know as Hazars lived there, retreating from the areas of today's South Russia before the warrior nomad tribes. Stamp was printed in circulation of 200 items in sheets of 25 pieces. On same occasion the provisional invitation was printed - in form of postal card in circulation of 100 items. VERY RARE.
Starting price320.00 €

Someone can explain me this? Probably "Judaica" specialist around globe can help me? In most optimistic day, I will never imagine that this stamp, face value of 20.00 Serbian Dinar, will have one starting prices of 320.00 euro!!!
I know that permission is given to print this stamp, and in same Auction Catalogue, I saw one sample where is this stamp used. It was on "Exhibition Invitation Card" that are delivered by post, to some VIP people, but what I see on this card is use of stamp, more like "additional" postage due, or probably (because I don't know postage rate for this kind of mail), it is used in combination with regular postage stamp, that can be mostly true.

Now, in description is stated "Institutional Postal Stamp" - WHAT THAT MEAN in simple philatelist language? Someone know? Probably person that write description, didn't know correct translation, or used some "b-fish" translate service, or I don't know what, but, according my knowledge, "Institutional " mean official - isn't? If it is really official, that mean, major catalogue will include it in, that will have great impact on prices! starting prices of 320.00 euro is really great, also just 200 copy printed is really great - but what about collectors????
