2017 End of the year:

Serbia: ...end of 2017 year, with few very interesting Topical.

Stamps that go to:
Art, Fauna, Religion, Icons, ZOO, Horses.... shortly, for everybody - something!
Still very affordable prices in face value, low quantity printed, little or non-exist in really postally used condition, and CTO just "on request".

I think, that only Serbia made it (exit on market) by "clever" way, with small quantity printed (very balanced with subscription quantity and market need).

Croatia made great mistake with AFINSA scandal, Slovenia go on market with "tons" of CTO material, Macedonia have it very wrong with "authorized dealer", Montenegro go badly with foreign dealer and design, Bosnia have it "hard time" with three separated postal entity (Sarajevo, Mostar, Banja Luka = Bosnia and Herzegovina, Herzeg Bosna, Republika Srpska), and Serbian Autonomy of Kosovo go totally "out of order" when they decide to print postage stamps but not under cover from UN (under independent name, no UPU member).

But, in the end - we can say - Happy Collecting!

14-2017 "Museum Exhibition":

Really good issue, with local artist included, May 19, 2017, set of 4 value and gutter on middle. Little bit complicated to collect, as there are five set in sheet, all with different gutter. But face value are affordable, and market will be not more than 3.00-3.50 US$ per set!

15-2017 "Nature Protection":

As usually, Nature Protection come out on market in set of two values, with nice design that include one DUCK! Birds, nature, Water.... all are here. Jun 1, 2017 and again affordable face value.

16-2017 "180 years of GB and Serbia":

It is very interesting issue, that, actually, give us information how much years go, and Serbia have an connection with GB. History say very negative fact about this connection, but 180 and still going is good point to made this postage stamps. June 5, 2017 on market, single stamp.

17-2017 "Air Serbia":

Here we have it! 90 years and Air Serbia still work!

yes, under different names between this period, when still in Yugoslavia it was Yugoslavian Air Transport (JAT),  on the day of establishing it was called AD Aeroput (1927), and till now, under name Air Serbia. 

Say what You want, I like this logo, and design in particular.

August 21, 2017, single stamp.

18-2017 "Ljubicevo Equestrian":

It is not Olympic, but "local" Equestrian games in Ljubicevo. Serbian tradition in horse and sport are long and with tradition, so this happening deserve postage stamp!

September 1, 2017, single stamp.

19-2017 "Joy of Europe":

Good cause that come to life every year, with children evenings on focus.

As usually it is also children drawings shown on postage stamps.

Single stamp, with very complicated sheet composition of 8 stamps and 7 tabs or gutter (how You like to call it), so show me one person that will have all option from sheet in collection.

I think, that it "miss the point" in deciding to made it in this composition!

20-2017 "Icon - King of Serbia The First":

Huh, You know!

Show me country, that have King, 800 year ago!

This is exactly that, about what this issue is talking!

Named after King Stefan Prvovencani, the first-crowned King of Serbia (cca.1165-1228).

Someone want to say that Serbia 'backward state"?

I don't think so!

22-2017 "Christmas":

Another one in Serbian tradition, Christmas that we all celebrate in own way!

So, stamps is just showing us all element from Christmas Table in Serbian family!

FDC much better give picture to me, than stamp alone!

23-2017 "Art":

Here we have one issue, that come on market just in booklet format. Little bit strange, as I know, that Serbia have it in sheet of 10 or 8+1 tab, but, I have just this information about booklet.

Interesting, that we have here set of six stamps, all showing us "local" important persons that made Serbia known in the world. Obviously, Ivo Andric (1892-1975) is included in this set!

Photographer, painter, poet, lyrics, Nobel Prize winner, educator and architect are shown here!

Really "Children's Stamps"? Or probably someone mixed it with Belgrade ZOO?

I don't know, but here we have it with Fauna on.

...after period of silence, for trip in Yugoslavia (Serbia/Voivodina), coming back with few new issue of Serbia:

11-2015 "Radio Show - Good Morning Children":

Nice attempt by Serbian Post, but I can say little bit naive.

It is nice to celebrate 60 years of this radio show, and it is really good way to educate young population (not to talk about result), but design is really "naive", feeling that I have.

Portraits of radio host, birds singing on middle, so...

Issue come on market at June 1, 2015, as it is low face value, You will be able to obtain it on "exchange" base with collectors in Serbia, but to purchase it, prepare around 0.40-0.50 US$ per one sample.

12-2015 "Post of Serbia 175 year":

This is much better designed than previous, with great 175 years in existence of Post in Serbia, so issue are important for history, and education, and celebration!

Set of two value, showing us one stamp with history, and one stamp with modern period, design that can be included in few "Topical" collection as "stamp on Stamp", "Horses", "Buildings"...

Issued on June 5, 2015, in modern quantity, with acceptable face value, but if You wish to have it in sheet of 8+gutter, or also FDC be ready to pay premium.

13-2015 "Art":

Really "Art"? I don't think so, but, not in my power to decide or influence!

Celebrating two artist, with showing us one work of each, but it is far away of topic "Art".

Issued on June 10, 2015, two set value, under $ face value, who like it, will be happy with face value.

2-2015 Postage Due:

As usually, one small dimension stamp, to collect extra money for Sv. Sava Church, which is in process of building for almost 120 years, and still in. I was there before few weeks, this monument will need next 120 years to finish, and yeah, lot of money!

You will probably find this stamp easy in Serbia, with collectors that exchange stamp.

2015 - Beginning of the year:

1-2015 Writer B. Copic:

2015 year start with single stamp, commemorate 100 yr of birth of very popular writer Branko Copic.

Design (as usually for "portrait on Serbian stamps") are, what to say, my opinion is, not something special.

Issue come on market on Jan 27, 2015, single stamp, and due some inflation in Serbia, face value are low, as 0.30 US$.  I think that You will be able to find it "on exchange" base from any collector in Serbia.

2-2015 Lunar Calendar:

This is little better issue than previous, as design in question. We have this topical in some years back, and all are well designed, as also FDC will give You much better picture about.

Must to mention, that You will need some extra money, for this issue, if You wish to keep in collection few option of it, because this is printed with one stamp that have engraver logo "under tail" ("G"), so, keep looking on cover, probability that You will have it are small, but chance exist!

Date: Feb 19, 2015, face value some near 1.00 $ per set of two, keep an eye on it!

Postage due 1-2015 "Hand-to-Hand":

As usually, one simple stamp, for donation to people "without roof" - hardly that collected money will have any impact on people in need, but, this is not our topic.

Date of issue not known, and face value are some 0.08 US$, but hardly that someone will sell it less than 1.00 $ per sample - probability that You will have more success in exchange base are great!

3-2015 Easter:

This is finally one significantly better made than previous years! Great design that reflect all tradition in Serbian Orthodox Church, I like it well, and really recommend to everyone who collect "Religion on Stamp", this is "must have" item!

Two stamps in set, with very affordable face value (less than 1.00 $), FDC cover that is well made, now, how much will dealer/s charge You is good question, but I'm sure that not big bucks need, because of low face value!

Issue go to market on Feb. 25, 2015 - have it soon as You can!

4-2015 Movie/Theater Directors:

One already known topic in Serbian Philately, that, I really don't admire - yes, it is important in every country culture, to celebrate important directors and authors, but to make it in set of 8, You degraded importance of topic alone! 

So, as any one like, this set of 8 have face value of "high" 1.50 to 1.60 US$, than if You decide to go after FDC (4 in set), You will need some 10.00 $ to prepare.

Issue come to market on march 26, 2015.

2014 continuing...

Just few issues that come to my store right now:

14-2014 "Science":

This issue come of two stamp, face value is relatively low, 1.00 $ per set, because recent downing of local currency, but as we search web acution/s, it can reach even 2.00 euro per set of two, and sheet of 10 much-much more!

Stamp come out to market on Oct. 8, 2014. celebrating two Serbian scientist, one is Josif Pancic and second Petar Stevanovic. one is Florist and second Geologist. Printing quality really well done! Printing done by ZIN Company, one shifting from FORUM Company, and visible improvement in quality.

15-2014 "Christmas":

As usually, at this time of every year, Christmas stamp coming to the public. Oct. 17, 2014, with two stamp in set, again low face value of 1.00 $ per set, but again low quantity printed, which resulted in very high market prices that can reach more than 2.20 euro per set.

On stamp You have Fresque/Icons from Monastery Zhicha. Nice designed, and FDC just little bit improve overall feeling.

16-2014 "Liberation of Belgrade":

One very important event in Serbian, and not just Serbian, but Yugoslavia and Europe, Balkan and World , history! There was occupation in WWII, Germans, Italians, Hungarians, Bulgarians, Albanian, all coming to occupy Yugoslavia! Killing and destruction all around!

Happened that Belgrade (capital city of Yugoslavia, and today Serbia) was on the target from all sides! Last forces that bombed Belgrade come from very "friendly" countries in WWI, tragedy alone, but NATO didn't care at all!

To liberate Belgrade in WWII, Yugoslavian Army lost 2950 fighters, and Soviet Union lost 960, can You imagine which forces of killing was there?

Germans Army, that departed from Greece, lost some 17 000 soldiers, just in Battle of Belgrade, this facts show us how important this event is also today!

For this anniversary, small Serbia made one parade, inviting all leaders to come, but (probably of shame?) no one from "friendly" NATO countries arrived, just Russian President Putin made it to Belgrade!

Stamp come out to the market on Oct. 20, 2014, with one interesting format of two stamp in sheet, one (lower value) stamp show us bombed Belgrade in WWII, and second (highest value) is today's Belgrade, as modern, rebuilt open city! I was there before two year, and can just recommended it to the all readers: INCLUDE this city to Your traveling destination!

Again quantity are very low, which resulted that market price come around 4.50 euro per one, even that face value are also not small (2.30 $). I think, that this m/s will be hard to find!

Update from "Filatelisticki Glasnik, #9, Dec. 2014):

from editorial part (page 4), author made really great comment on this issue, which explain us some fact about, as design on this m/s because on m/s we see modern part of Belgrade (on right side of m/s) and ruins of Belgrade (on left side of m/s)!

Left side actually show us ruins of buildings in Belgrade, from WWII, but from 1941 (WWII - bombing of Yugoslavia), that mean, no connection between "Liberation of Belgrade" (by Red Army of Soviet Union 1944) - and most of problematic detail is that face value of 50.00 Serbian Dinar, didn't math any post tariff in or out from Serbia!

17-2014 "Children's Stamp - Fairy Tales":

I still didn't received FDC of this issue, but can ask Serbian Post: "What was need for this experiment"?

Not attractive issue at all, even that topic are attractive, many collectors will need it in collection, but there is plenty of better design option! Four stamp in set, in usual format of 8 stamp + gutter on middle, face value not so small, and market go wild - 3.62 euro per set, which is caused by low quantity printed and format composition. Just really addict collector will have it in collection under "Fauna" topic - probably!

3-2014 Postage Due:

Every year, there is Postage due obligated on all mail delivery in one week period. This one is under name "Children's Week", and have one nice motto: 

"Every Children with happy face, one family keeps"!

(Serbian: "Svako dete srecnog lica, cuva jedna porodica")

Nice intention, nice education way, to remind us (parents) about our obligation we have!

Keep for single stamp, on market, 1.00 $, even that it is face value just 0.11 $.

Serbia 2012 - continue:

12-2012 "European Nature Protection - Forest":

Issued on June 1, 2012, with set of 2 stamp. Face value for set is 68.00 Serbian Dinar - not big money in US$, but where is "game"? In stamp of 46.00 dinar - this one is printed in 

quantity of just 25 000.

Someone will say - so what!? Nothing, I will answer - I will be glad to see who will have this set in postally used on/off cover! 

What we have on stamp is Acer heldreichii and Arn. Var. pallasiana - Pinus nigra, two well protected tree in Serbia. On stamp, we can see drawings of tree and leaf, forest - probably good idea, but too small dimension of stamp for this topic. But, if we will ask for bigger stamp - it will be very non practical (something that Bosnian Post made recently, in "Snake" issue).

13-2012 "Olympic - London 2012:"

I really don't like it from beginning of introduction emblem to advertisement of same Olympic Games! It start with logo, that some of critics say it resemble to the word "ZION" instead of 2012, till artist expression of what need to be on the stamp shown.

What we see on stamp? Just Olympic torch and stadium on one stamp, and London famous building and stadium. I ask - and where is some other "Olympic" element like sport?

face value is also not so small for two stamp, it is around 1.40 US$ per set, because popularity of this topic, it will cost much more on market. Quantity printed are little bit more than normal (100 000 for both stamp), and no m/s come out. Like usually - it is sheet of 8 stamp and gutter on middle.

14-2012 "175 year of Cathedral":

Even that it is just single stamp, I can say that nice job made by artist! 

Come out at July 13, 2012, single stamp of really low face value of some quarter of $, that will allow many collectors to have it in collection. Cheaply, nice, popular topic under "religion", low quantity printed (50 000), probably will be sold out very quickly! I don't know who is main dealer that purchase most of quantity directly from Serbian Post, but see: 50 000 x 0.25 = 12 500 US$ for  "all printed" - let's say that 25% Serbian "standing order" customer will have, and next 25% if will go to post branches for regular use - it is  around 6300 US$ that will some dealer/s invest - and start to manipulate market!

Any way, I like design on all three option (stamp, FDC and CM) and can just recommend to all - run and grab!

#3-2008 Easter:

Issued 21 March, 2008 with two stamp in set, like usually, design of Easter Egg, decorated with fresque. Stamp of 20.00 dinar and 46.00 dinar face value, it is somewhere around 1.50 US$, that will be sold at dealer prices almost twice, because of failing value of US$. This issue is well designed, and I can recommanded it to all who collect religious motifs - it will fit well.

#4-2008:

100 year of International Swimming Federation, issued on 18 Feb, 2008, single stamp 50.00 din face value - 1.00 US$ - for sure, will cost in shop more than 2.00 US$, because topic and quantity issued, on stamp are Water Polo player in action, with (I don't know why) EU star symbol (?) but maybe author simply put this star without reason - it come in sheet of 8 stamp with tab on middle, that will be more expenses for collector, overall - stamp are nice and FDC come also in good planned design.

#5-2008:

XXIX Olympic Game in Beijing 20008, P.R. China - here I can say just "bingo" - Artist made it well! Two stamp, 46.00 dinar and 50.00 dinar - almost 2.00 US$ face value - You will not find it on market for less than 5.00 US$, and it is again issued on 8 stamp + tab on middle format, that will cost You even more, around 50.00 US$ for this sheet of 8+1 - this issue will be really popular and worth in any collection. Desing of stamp come from artist M. A. M. Kalezic, that on one stamp have an picture of tennis player and runners in action - with background of one stamp is Chiness Pagoda, and on second stamp is detail from art - woman. Even that I think - woman on this stamp looklike an "geisha" - but I'm not sure what "Japan" culture have to do with China Olympic - but it is artist decision and view. When talking about FDC - it is really great picture - Stadium, Building, Bird - all three element that fit well!!! Prefer to obtain it as soon as will be available for You - I'm affraid that this issue will have same "trouble" like one issue for football from Serbia and Montenegro, where sheet of 8+1 have an high catalogue value and this one will reach also - because that, it is worth to pay even double price today.
